This Privacy Policy explains how Chet Tailor (“I,” “me,” or “my”) handles information when you visit chet-tailor.com and related web pages, including apps.chet-tailor.com (the “Website”).
It covers the portfolio site, articles, and app marketing pages. It does not cover data processed inside the Resonance iOS app on your device — see the Resonance App Privacy Policy.
By using the Website, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

3.1 Google Analytics (GA4)
I use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID: G-NS9QM3SM08) to understand traffic and usage patterns. Google may collect information such as:
- Pages viewed and time on page
- Approximate geographic location (derived from IP address)
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- Referring website or campaign
- IP address (processed by Google; I do not store raw IP addresses separately)

You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s opt-out add-on or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser settings.
3.2 Hosting and server logs
Our hosting provider may log technical data needed to deliver pages and maintain security, such as IP address, date and time of request, requested URL, browser user agent, and referrer.

4. Information you provide
4.1 Resonance support form (Tally)
The page apps.chet-tailor.com/support.html embeds a form provided by Tally (tally.so). If you submit the form, the fields you complete (for example name, email address, and message content) are sent to and stored by Tally on my behalf so I can respond to your enquiry.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information through the form unless necessary for your support request.
4.2 Other contact
If you contact me via LinkedIn or other channels linked from the Website, that platform’s privacy policy applies to messages sent through their service.
5. How I use your information
I use the information described above to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Website
- Understand which content is useful to visitors
- Respond to support and privacy enquiries about Resonance
- Protect the Website against abuse and technical issues
I do not use Website analytics or form data for targeted advertising, profiling for marketing, or sale to data brokers.

When you follow an external link, that site may collect its own data under its own terms.

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies primarily for Google Analytics. These may include cookies that distinguish unique visitors and sessions, and cookies that store referral and campaign information.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking analytics cookies may not affect your ability to read the Website, but I will receive less accurate usage information.
The Resonance support form (Tally) may set its own cookies when you interact with the embedded form. See Tally’s documentation for details.
8. What I do not do
On the Website, I do not:
- Require registration or login to browse public pages
- Display third-party advertising networks
- Sell or rent personal information
- Knowingly collect information from children under 13
9. Legal bases (UK / EEA visitors)
Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, I rely on:
- Legitimate interests — to operate the Website, understand aggregate usage, and keep the site secure (analytics and server logs), balanced against your rights
- Consent — where you voluntarily submit the support form or accept non-essential cookies in your browser

10. Data retention
- Google Analytics: Google retains data according to my Analytics settings and Google’s retention policies.
- Hosting provider logs: Retained according to the provider’s policies and operational needs.
- Tally form submissions: Retained until the enquiry is resolved and for a reasonable period thereafter, or as long as Tally stores them on my account. You may ask me to delete your submission.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the UK and EEA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, object to certain processing, request data portability, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK or your local supervisory authority.

12. International transfers
Google, our hosting provider, and Tally may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, they use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses). See each provider’s privacy policy for details.

I use reputable hosting and form providers and keep the Website codebase maintained. No online transmission is completely secure; please use caution when submitting information over the internet.
14. Children
The Website is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Website.
15. Changes to this policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will post the new version at chet-tailor.com/privacy.html and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Website after changes means you accept the updated policy where permitted by law.
